Southwest Airlines announces new service from Ontario, California to Portland, Oregon
Set to start August 7, 2016 Southwest Airlines will offer additional service between Ontario International Airport and Portland, Oregon. Southwest is in the process of expanding service at several airports statewide.

A five month search for the new CEO to take the controls at Ontario International Airport Authority has concluded with the nomination of Kelly J. Fredericks. With 33 years of experience in aviation, Fredericks has a background working with airport authorities and overall is touted as the right guy for the job. Currently living in the New England region, Fredericks will make the move to Southern California and is expected to begin his new job later this year.

We are happy to report that 1 out of every 5 jobs added in 2013 was in the Leisure and Hospitality sector. In Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga there were 1,251 new jobs or 17.6% of all new jobs in the past year attributed to growth in the hotel industry. The 2014 results were greater than 2013 and we anticipate even higher percentages in 2015.
