WallyPark is now offering all-electric shuttle bus service from its off-site parking location to catch a flight at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) – the first such service in the country. TOURISM REPORT - ONE YEAR LATER May 2016 – May 2017 YTD VISITOR COUNT Over the first 12 months, approximately 133,679 visitors have visited the CA Welcome Center in the Fashion Alley at Ontario Mills. During the first two months of operation, staff conducted manual counts until the installation of the state-of-the art counting sensors.
In just one year, the number of visitors to Ontario’s CA Welcome Center is second only to the CA Welcome Center at Pier 39 in San Francisco.

Monday, May 8, 2017 (Ontario, California) The Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization to promote the cities of Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, California to visitors nationally and internationally. The California Welcome Center at Ontario Mills is operated by the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau.
At a recent luncheon hosted by the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, the keynote speaker, Dr. John Husing, shared an update on the region known as the Inland Empire. It is good to know we have recovered from the Recession and have a bright future. After losing 8.71 million jobs there have been 16,065,000 job gains from January 2008 to February 2017. We rank the second largest absolute job gain in California in 2016. The current unemployment is at 4.4%.
Moving to meet the growing demand for air travel this summer at Ontario International Airport (ONT), American Airlines will offer nonstop service between ONT and Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) from July 5, 2017 through August 21, 2017. ONT is located in the Inland Empire, approximately 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles in the center of Southern California. It is a medium-hub, full-service airport with direct commercial jet service to 15 major U.S. cities and Mexico, and connecting service to many domestic and international destinations.
