What do you have planned for Easter Sunday, April 16th? It used to be a great time for a family vacation to start or wrap up since the kids had a week off for Spring Break. In the past, elementary schools had a week break tied into Easter Sunday. Now several schools have changed the curriculum to incorporate a two week break from school at the best time in the calendar year to allow catching up and studying prior to testing. In our area that was early March. Maybe it’s a good idea to diversify the calendar with family time separate from the traditional “Spring Break” college crowd.

Remember those TV Commercials?  What a difference a day makes?  Seems these days it should be what a difference an hour can make. This video was filmed in one hour to give you a glimpse into one of my typical whirlwind days. All throughout that hour of running around the Ontario Convention Center I was also on a few phone calls and returning some emails. Multi-tasking with our convenient electronic gadgets provides us the opportunity to accomplish more and more. It can also give you creative ways to beat the competition and competition is fierce in the hospitality industry.

Changes boost profile of Ontario Museum of History and Art

By David Allen, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin

A striking new sign and re-imagined grounds welcome visitors to the Ontario Museum of History and Art, a facility open since 1979 but which in 2017 many locals still haven’t discovered.

“We hear it all the time: ‘I’ve lived here for 30 years, and I didn’t know Ontario had a museum.’ I’m amazed by that,” Debi Dorst-Porada, a councilwoman, said.

Do these people know Ontario has a newspaper, in which word of the museum frequently appears?

We went a little retro recently at Ontario Convention Center – retro gaming that is. Who knew that there is a huge market of millennials that would rather revisit their childhood than watch the Super Bowl game?  The Southern California Retro Gaming Expo is the largest and only expo in Southern California to provide video game lovers with the nostalgic and old-school experience one can have within the trademarked event. The third annual event was a haven for original gaming products such as: Original Nintendo, PlayStation, Genesis, Gameboy and even as far back as Intellivision and Atari.
