We survived another HUGE event – Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion was fantastic this year! First of all, the Chamber of Commerce “perfect” weather of 80 degrees was a great reason to spend the weekend outdoors. We had almost 1,000 classic cars representing five states across the nation participate in this 3-day classic car event. No wonder over 150,000 attendees were here in downtown Ontario on historic Euclid Avenue. The Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau powers this event – meaning we all work like crazy people to make sure the entertainment, food and beverage, logistics and all the family fun is up and running. The economic impact to the region was over $15 million.
Now we are turning our attention to the opening seasons of our sports teams at Citizens Business Bank Arena. There is always a lot of excitement at the first home opener. Thousands of fans are excited to meet the new players and cheer on their team. Go Ontario Reign! Go Ontario Fury! This year we look forward to welcoming our new team – the Aqua Caliente Clippers of Ontario. Basketball has always been on the wish list of our guests at the Arena and we are proud to deliver a new development league team!
Happy Halloween everyone! Maybe you have more treats then tricks this year.
