Visit Rancho Cucamonga
Rancho Cucamonga is a quintessential Southern California city in the western edge of San Bernardino County. With shopping hot spots, a friendly atmosphere and beautiful weather, it’s as wonderful a place to visit as it is to live. Rancho Cucamonga is world-class community with a growing population, a booming logistics industry and even its own minor league baseball team. With so many family-friendly park spaces, outdoor hiking trails and entertainment venues, there is no lack of things to do in Rancho Cucamonga, so it’s no wonder the city is a popular destination.
Rancho Cucamonga was once home to farmland, orchards and a chunk of Route 66. The city is rooted in Americana, and visitors enjoy historical sites, such as the Tapia Adobe or John Rains House, along with modern destinations like Victoria Garden lifestyle shopping center. Like many of our Southern California neighbors, Rancho Cucamonga weather is warm and sunny throughout the year. This makes the city a perfect place to explore the outdoors, soak up the sun or taste some of the region’s locally produced wine.
Cultural buffs and shopping addicts alike will love Victoria Gardens, an open-air town center featuring hundreds of retailers, along with the city’s Paul A. Biane Library and the Lewis Family Playhouse. Not only is Victoria Gardens a walker’s wonderland, it is also has a town square that is a great place to meet with family and friends. With nearly 20 eateries, it won’t be hard to find a place to nosh – the hard part will be choosing a place from the host of casual dining and upscale restaurants at Victoria Gardens.
Rancho Cucamonga nightlife boasts plenty of places to eat, drink and dance, from small pubs to large pool halls. If you’re looking for something more creative, catch a live show at the Lewis Family Playhouse or visit the Purple Easel, where patrons can bring their own beverages to drink while they re-create a classic painting.
The city’s Metrolink train station is another great starting point for further adventures into Los Angeles, Pomona or anywhere along the San Bernardino Line. Rancho Cucamonga is near many places of interest, including Hollywood, Disneyland, the beach and the mountains. Because of its central location, a visitor could spend one day at the beach, spend the next day skiing and spend the day after that at Disneyland or Universal Studios. Just hop on the train or freeway for quick access to Southern California’s endless attractions.
